The BBC wanted to engage with students using a photo booth to raise awareness for the launch of their new show.
Brief
L’Oréal’s new product, their Instant Highlights, allows stylists to put highlights in their client’s hair super quick, saving loads of time in the salon. They held an internal event at the Academy Studios in London in which they were training stylists on their new product.
noonah were asked to provide tech to give them an awesome photo moment as part of their training day and product launch.
Solution
Bullet Time Cam is some of our newest tech.
The 9 Cam captures nine photos simultaneously and stitches them together to create a frozen 3d moment. Our rig was covered in L’Oréal branding, customising our tech for the event.
The stylists were photographed against a fully branded angled backdrop to give the GIFs more depth and enhance the quality of the shots. We also added balloons and confetti encouraging everyone at the event to interact to create epic GIFs.
noonah worked with L’Oréal to design a branded foreground to the GIFs. When the photos or GIFs were shared L’Oreal branding was on every share and every print.
Results
The Bullet Time was a huge hit at the event with over 100 sessions recorded in the few hours we were active. Capturing that frozen moment was a huge hit, and the stylists at the event loved sharing them to social and email, multiple times.
The branded prints gave the stylists a chance to take a keepsake back to the salon with them, showing clients what a fun time they had learning about L’Oréal’s newest product!
